Abstract: This collection comprises original letters addressed to Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Quaid-i-Azam and President of the All India Muslim League, between 1942 and 1944. The correspondence highlights the diverse nature of his engagements, featuring personal well-wishes, strategic political suggestions from League members, provincial administrative matters, and financial contributions from supporters. The letters originate from different regions of British India, including Bombay, Kashmir, Bengal, Baluchistan, and Sind, reflecting Jinnah's nationwide political stature and the range of issues brought to his attention during a critical period of the Pakistan Movement.
Description: This set of scanned documents offers a direct glimpse into the daily influx of communication received by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It includes a personal letter wishing him rest in Kashmir , a strategic proposal from Bengal for mass resignation of League MLAs, a discussion regarding establishing a Muslim school in Matheran, a reply from Jinnah's office concerning provincial political clarity, and a letter of donation from a Sindhi Zamindar accompanied by a cheque for the "betterment of the Muslim Community".
