Abstract: This document is an official resolution issued by the Working Committee of the Majlis Ahrar-e-Islam, Delhi Province, following a meeting chaired by Nawab Muhammad Ali Khan on 26 October 1945. The resolution strongly condemns what it describes as "undignified actions and inappropriate behaviour" carried out by Muslim Leaguers against Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Islam Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madani. It issues a warning to the Muslim League authorities to cease these actions and states that the Ahrar will not tolerate such behaviour towards respected scholars, placing full responsibility for any retaliatory measures on the Muslim League and its high command.

Description: This resolution represents a significant moment of intra-Muslim political tension in pre-Partition India, highlighting the ideological and political divisions between the Majlis Ahrar-e-Islam (a conservative religious-political organization) and the Muslim League under Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The strong language used reflects the deep disagreements between different Muslim political groups regarding leadership, religious authority, and political strategy during the crucial period leading up to independence. The document underscores the Ahrar's defense of traditional religious leadership (exemplified by Maulana Madani) against what they perceived as disrespect from the increasingly dominant Muslim League.
