Abstract: This collection comprises various bills, receipts, and invoices from 1922 to 1948, many addressed to M.A. Jinnah at his Malabar Hill residence in Bombay. Items include monthly bills from dairies (Irish Dairy Farm, Killedar's United Dairies, Victor Supplying Co.), an electric bill from Bombay Electric Supply & Tramways Co., a bill from the Willingdon Sports Club (1922), a confectionery bill from Wenger's (Simla/Delhi), and furnishing bills from Queens Furnishing Co. Also included are miscellaneous receipts, a postal order counterfoil, a travel expense calculation for a Nagpur trip, and some unaddressed bills.

Description: This file assembles a variety of personal and household financial documents associated with Muhammad Ali Jinnah, primarily from his residence at Mount Pleasant Road, Malabar Hill, Bombay. The bills cover routine expenses such as milk, butter, bread, electricity, and club memberships, reflecting the domestic economy of an elite household in early to mid-20th century Bombay. The presence of bills from establishments like Wenger's in Simla/Delhi also indicates travel or secondary residences. Alongside these are assorted receipts and notes, some of which may not be directly linked to Jinnah but are part of the same collection. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
