Abstract: This document is a press statement by Mr. Atifur Rahman, M.L.A., President of the All India Muslim Conference and a member of the Muslim League Working Committee. He condemns the recent statement of the Cabinet Mission and the Viceroy as further evidence of British duplicity and broken pledges. Rahman accuses the Congress of preferring British ICS rule over sharing power with Muslims and argues that this justifies the demand for separation (Pakistan). He urges M. A. Jinnah to immediately convene a meeting of the All India Muslim League Council and lead Muslim India into decisive action, advocating a stance of dignified resistance rather than further futile negotiations. The statement reflects a militant, disillusioned mood among League hardliners following the collapse of constitutional talks.
Description: A forceful statement rejecting further negotiations with the British and Congress, calling on Jinnah to mobilize the Muslim League for assertive political action in pursuit of Pakistan. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
