Abstract: This brief statement issued by M. A. Jinnah welcomes the Kalat Government’s announcement of 11 April 1947 clarifying its policy on the Leased Areas and pledging fullest support for Pakistan. Jinnah congratulates the Khan of Kalat, expresses gratitude on behalf of Indian Muslims, and strongly appeals to Muslims of India to support Kalat’s claim for rendition of the Leased and Baluchi areas. He emphasizes that an independent and strong Kalat State adjacent to Pakistan would be of immense assistance.
