Abstract: This collection comprises six pages of documents, the first being a letter from M. Zaman, Vice President of A.I.N.S.-R., to M. A. Jinnah recommending Z. H. Lari, Sir Shafaat Ahmad Khan, Mr. Id. Wasim, and Mr. Justice Mamatullah for the Constituent Assembly. The author warns against Congress proposals for joint electorates in Group A, arguing this is incompatible with the two-nation theory and would necessitate extending separate electorates to Scheduled Castes in Groups B and C. The remaining pages contain detailed proceedings and draft constitution of the Preparatory Committee of the Asian Students Conference, held in New Delhi in January 1947. Chaired by Mr. Arulalan Arahant, the meeting included delegates from Arabia, China, East Africa, India, Indonesia, Iran, and Malaya.

Description: A letter to Jinnah urging selection of eminent U.P. Muslim Leaguers for the Constituent Assembly and warning against joint electorates, together with formal minutes and constitution of the 1947 Asian Students Conference preparatory meetings. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
