Abstract: This archival collection comprises of official records from the Flood Relief Committee in Dacca, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), documenting coordinated relief efforts following severe flooding in the mid-1950s. The materials include committee membership rolls, meeting minutes and resolutions, detailed financial allocations to members for district-level relief work, comprehensive expenditure accounts for supplies (medicines, disinfectants, food, equipment), and administrative correspondence with municipal authorities. The records also contain lists of non-government educational institutions affected by the floods, internal purchase orders for bleaching powder and other supplies, and an invoice from Imperial Chemical Industries.
