Abstract: This collection comprises correspondence and financial records related to flood relief work conducted by the Ramakrishna Mission in Dacca during 1955–1956. The documents include letters between Mission Secretary Swami Satyakamananda, Mr. Sadri Ispahani, and Mr. M. Raschid (Hony. Secretary, Regional Flood Relief Committee) regarding the accounting and disbursement of relief funds. The records reveal the Mission's expenditure on repairing humtents for flood-affected families, requests for additional funding, and the Committee's insistence on proper accounting and timely submission of vouchers.

Description: Correspondence between Ramakrishna Mission officials and the Regional Flood Relief Committee documents the accounting of Rs. 1,209 spent on repairing humtents for flood-affected families, with requests for additional funding. Financial records include small receipts for relief supplies such as mustard oil, chili, tamarind, and salt, as well as correspondence regarding the distribution of rice stocks and submission of detailed expenditure statements to the District Magistrate. The materials highlight the administrative oversight and financial accountability required for charitable flood relief operations in post-flood East Pakistan.
