Abstract: This collection documents financial assistance provided by the Central Flood Relief Committee for East Pakistan to Mr. Kazi Abu Jauhar, a medical student whose family in East Bengal suffered losses in the 1954 floods. The records include payments for his tuition fees at Dow Medical College, hostel rent at Jinnah Courts Muslim Hostel, and settlement of a personal loan. Additional correspondence from the Pakistan Club in Bahrain clarifies a previously issued appeal letter.

Description: The file contains three receipts and letters documenting the Committee's assistance to a medical student cut off from his flood-affected family in East Bengal. A payment of Rs. 202/8/- covers his tuition fees, Rs. 123/- pays his hostel rent, and Rs. 400/- settles a personal loan borrowed from a college demonstrator. Each transaction is formally receipted by the respective institutions. A separate letter from the Pakistan Club in Bahrain requests substitution of a previously sent appeal letter due to wording误会.
