Abstract: This collection comprises certificates of undertaking, detailed repair estimates, and correspondence from multiple flood-affected madrasahs and schools seeking rehabilitation grants from the Regional Flood Relief Committee. Documents include applications from Noakhali Senior Madrasah, Novahatala Religious Union Madrasah in Saidpur, Shahbazpur H.S. School in Faridpur, and other institutions, with itemized calculations for building repairs, floor reconstruction, brick and cement purchases, mason wages, and furniture repair and replacement. Money order receipts and acknowledgment forms document the disbursement process across several institutions, including some with addresses in West Pakistan.

Description: Multiple madrasahs and schools submit formal certificates of undertaking with detailed repair estimates. Noakhali Senior Madrasah appears on money order acknowledgments. Novahatala Religious Union Madrasah in Saidpur submits a proforma statement for Rs. 1,100 including detailed costs for earthwork, 5,000 bricks, 400 maunds of sand, 25 bags of cement, mason salaries, and repair/replacement of benches, high benches, tables, chairs, and pencils. Shahbazpur H.S. School in Faridpur provides a simple two-line statement dividing Rs. 300 equally between furniture repairs and building repairs. Ranjit K.J.S. Institution's certificate shows addresses spanning Gujranwala, Balochistan, Sindh, and Punjab, indicating institution locations or officer postings across both East and West Pakistan. Multiple money order acknowledgments, receipt forms, and a bank draft form document fund transfers, with witness signature sections for illiterate recipients. The documents illustrate the diverse geographic scope and repair needs of flood-affected religious and secular educational institutions. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
