Abstract: This collection comprises diverse documents including form letters from Honorary Secretary M. Raschid regarding committee consideration of applications and urgent audit requirements for expenditures under his supervision. A detailed table lists 29 flood-affected institutions across Tippera, Dacca, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Noakhali, and Sylhet districts with amounts applied for and proposed grants. Multiple military payment rolls document flood relief disbursements to soldiers of the East Bengal Regiment in Comilla and Chittagong Cantonments, and to a soldier in Rawalpindi, as part of the East Pakistan Flood.

Description: A form letter from Honorary Secretary M. Raschid acknowledges receipt of institutional applications and advises that matters are under committee consideration. A second letter, dated 14 July 1956, urgently requests that Raschid (in his personal capacity) sign a certificate for expenditures totaling Rs. 16,447-4-6 incurred under his supervision, as vouchers and stamped receipts are needed for audit regularization. A detailed table presents 29 institutional grant applications from multiple districts, showing amounts requested (ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 50,000) and amounts proposed for sanction (mostly Rs. 500-600, with one Rs. 2,000 grant). Three military payment rolls document disbursements from the East Pakistan Flood - 1955 fund to soldiers: one to Havildar Abdul Ghafoor in Rawalpindi (Rs. 25), two payments to sepoys in Comilla Cantonment (totaling Rs. 45), and a detailed roll of ten soldiers in Comilla receiving amounts from Rs. 30 to Rs. 55, with recipient signatures.
