Abstract: This file contains six pages of correspondence and appeals received by the Regional Flood Relief Committee. The first document is a letter from M. Raschid (Honorary Secretary) to Madar-e-Millat Miss Fatima Jinnah (June 26, 1956) enclosing seven sets of newspaper cuttings from The Morning News, Dacca, listing flood-affected institutions financed by the committee. An undated individual appeal (January 20, 1956) from a flood victim describes the destruction of his home and requests Rs. 100 for reconstruction. A letter from Crescent Association, signed by Honorary Secretary M.A. Hamid (June 27, 1966), seeks Rs. 20,000 from the committee to acquire land for a Children’s Park in the waterlogged Swamibagh area of Dacca, citing persistent public demand. Finally, a letter from Amritaabad B.C.L.H.E. School (January 29, 1956), signed by Mridul Chandra Ghose, requests Rs. 2,500 for the school, which suffered from floods and the economic distress of the local community.
