Abstract: This file contains a National Bank of Pakistan office file cover (File No. 2) followed by three variant copies of the proceedings of the 6th Meeting of the Regional Flood Relief Committee held on August 11, 1955, chaired by Mr. Amiruddin Ahmed (Vice-Chairman). Key decisions include the appointment of Mr. H. Haider, District Magistrate, Dacca, as a member replacing Mr. M.S. Khan Chowdhury; the establishment of five relief centers in Dacca (Anjuman-e-Mofidul Islam, Qamrunnessa Girls' H.S. School, Armanitola High School, New Govt. High School, Rahmatullah Model H.S. School) supervised by members Sadri Ispahani, H.H. Nomani, G.M. Adamjee, M. Raschid, and H. Haider, with an initial sanction of Rs. 5,000 each (total Rs. 25,000); and two centers in Narayanganj (Moran Girls H.S. School and Bander H.S. School) with a total allocation of Rs. 10,000. The Chairman also directed printing of posters, cards, and badges for publicity.

Description: This file contains meeting minutes from the Regional Flood Relief Committee’s 6th meeting (August 1955) detailing the opening of seven relief centers, member appointments, and fund allocations. Additional 1958 records document the co-option of the Relief Commissioner, grants for mosque reconstruction and madrasahs, and emergency relief for Jamalpur. The three variant copies of the 1955 minutes show minor textual inconsistencies. The records illustrate the committee’s operational structure and decision-making during two flood periods.
