Abstract: This file contains diverse correspondence and records from 1954 to 1960. Daily Nai Roshni (Karachi) contributes one day's income to East Bengal Flood Relief (August 31, 1954). A telegram from Nator Subdivisional Muslim League (Rajshahi) reports 15 unions badly affected by floods and solicits help. Narayanganj City Muslim League writes to Miss Fatima Jinnah (October 5, 1954) thanking her for visiting their relief camp and requesting an inspection note. A telegram from Khulna challenges a minister’s denial of starvation deaths. Dow Medical College and Civil Hospital, Karachi (April 28, 1960) requests renewal of a 1954 cheque for Rs. 202/8/-. Miss Fatima Jinnah (May 2, 1960) confirms reinvestment of Rs. 4,35,000 in government loans. The 21st Meeting of the Regional Flood Relief Committee (May 3, 1960) accepts the auditor’s report, resolves to send an architect to survey Ulipur Maternity Hospital construction before remitting further funds, and sanctions Rs. 10,000 for cyclone relief in Chandpur Sub-Division.

Description: This file contains a 1954 newspaper donation letter, Muslim League appeals and telegrams regarding flood relief and starvation, a 1960 cheque renewal request from Dow Medical College, Miss Fatima Jinnah’s investment confirmation, and minutes of the 21st Regional Flood Relief Committee meeting (1960) addressing hospital construction and cyclone relief. The documents illustrate the range of flood relief activities—from media contributions and political appeals to financial management and committee decision-making.
