Abstract: Miss Fatima Jinnah at the International Dolls Exhibition (January 19, 1955) commends the Women’s Refugee Rehabilitation Committee for constructing 170 quarters for refugees (housing over 600 persons) and providing a school, industrial home, and medical aid; she appeals for further funds to complete 80 more quarters and stresses that refugee rehabilitation is a national duty. Her speech at the unveiling of Quaid‑i‑Azam’s portrait at the Karachi Cotton Exchange (February 18, 1955) emphasizes that political independence is a means to economic independence, calls for high standards of integrity in business, and urges businessmen to act as goodwill ambassadors for Pakistan. A letter from Mirza A. Raza, Chairman of the Karachi Cotton Association (February 12, 1955), thanks Miss Jinnah for consenting to unveil the portrait.
