Abstract: This file contains bank account statements for the Kashmir Fund account of Miss Fatima Jinnah with the Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Karachi, covering the period from September to December 1948. The statements show numerous deposits (cash, clearing proceeds, cheques from various sources) and debits (cheques issued). A confirmation letter from the bank (30 September 1948) states that the current account balance was Rs. 13,16,551/1/- (Rupees thirteen lakhs sixteen thousand five hundred fifty-one and one anna) due to the Bank. Subsequent ledger pages (November–December 1948) record continuing transactions, with balances reaching over Rs. 11 lakhs.
