Abstract: These 1950s–1960s documents show Miss Fatima Jinnah receiving appeals from citizens, refugees, and officials – ranging from her press appeal for Kashmir winter relief, large donations for a hospital, ambulance, and schools in Azad Kashmir, to desperate pleas for presidential candidacy, book contributions, property disputes, and complaints of forced displacement. Collectively, they reveal her enduring moral authority as “Madar‑i‑Millat” in Pakistan’s national and Kashmir‑related affairs.

Description: Pakistan and Azad Kashmir turned to Fatima Jinnah (Khatoon‑i‑Pakistan) as a last resort for justice and moral intervention. The Mirpur letter is the most detailed, describing a forced relocation from native villages to the Sind Barrage area, unfair compensation, police violence, and a threat to seek foreign help if ignored. The anonymous note from Azad Kashmir expresses frustration with corruption and demands unconditional support for President Ayub Khan. A man from Chittagong writes a very short note reaffirming the need to win Kashmir. A Lahore woman urges Fatima Jinnah to take action and reply. Together, they reflect the complex, often contradictory expectations placed upon Fatima Jinnah in the post‑Quaid‑e‑Azam era, ranging from endorsing military rule to challenging state violence and displacement.
