Abstract: Fatima Jinnah visiting the Sir Salimullah Orphanage in Dacca (March 1948) where a detailed report highlights its history, 241 orphans, technical education, and request for government takeover. Later appeals seek her inauguration of a seafarers’ convention (Chittagong, 1952), patronage of a Muslim mission aiding orphan girls (Dacca, 1955‑56), foundation stone‑laying for a charitable building by Punjabi merchants (Karachi, 1964), a message to teachers’ conference (East Pakistan, 1958), and a flood relief appeal from Faridpur.

Description: A 1948 report read during Fatima Jinnah’s visit to the Sir Salimullah Orphanage in Dacca details the institution’s growth since 1909, its 241 orphans (including 87 girls), technical training in weaving and book‑binding, and the hope that the Pakistan government would take over management. Subsequent documents include an invitation to inaugurate the All Pakistan Seafarers’ Convention in Chittagong (May 1952), a request for her to become patron of the Dacca Muslim Mission housing “helpless and stranded Muslim girls” (1955‑56), an Urdu invitation (1964) from Punjabi merchants in Karachi asking her to lay the foundation stone of a charitable building, a request for a blessing message to East Pakistan secondary school teachers (1958), and an appeal from the Sadar Flood‑Relief Anjuman in Faridpur for donations to help drought‑ and flood‑affected victims.
