Abstract: A government file note on “Shafique Award” failure; an invitation for Fatima Jinnah’s message to the 8th Pakistan Tuberculosis Conference (Dacca, Feb 1965); her condolence statement on the death of journalist Fakhr‑e‑Matri (March 6, 1966); correspondence between Dr. Riaz Ali Shah and the UK National Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis (1948) regarding formation of a Pakistan T.B. association and representation at the International Union; and a 1967 request from Lahore District T.B. Association for her message as Patron‑in‑Chief.

Description: Letter from the Secretary‑General of the UK National Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis to Dr. Riaz Ali Shah, inquiring about progress in forming a tuberculosis association in Pakistan and discussing representation at the International Union. A later government file note (undated, but likely 1958‑1965) mentions “Persistent failure of the Shafique Award” under the subject “T.B. Association.” Invitation letters from the Pakistan National Tuberculosis Association (Jan 1965) and the Lahore District T.B. Association (May 1967) request Fatima Jinnah – as Patron‑in‑Chief – to send messages for conferences in Dacca and Lahore. A separate typed statement (March 6, 1966) records her condolences on the death of “Fakhr‑e‑Matri,” described as an international journalist and freedom pioneer.
