Abstract: Khatoon-i-Pakistan Education and Welfare Board and its girls’ school. Architect Dr. Alfredo Kotzian writes (undated, but referencing 1956 letter) requesting final payment of Rs. 18,000 for his 3% fee on total construction cost of Rs. 10,50,000. A detailed income and expenditure statement for Khatoon-e-Pakistan Girls’ Secondary School for 1959–60 shows total income of Rs. 82,150 (fees, games fee, bus fee, etc.) and expenditure of Rs. 82,150, with a closing balance of Rs. 13,177. Letters from Karachi Development Authority (May 1959, June 1960) demand payment of Rs. 1,46,200 development charges plus 6% interest, threatening cancellation of land allotment. A statement of expenditure for 1959–60 lists science laboratory (Rs. 13,108), furniture (Rs. 740), buses (Rs. 64,610), etc. A parent, M. Rahman, complains (undated) about unreliable bus service, suggesting replacement of old large buses with micro buses.

Description: This file contains administrative and financial records from the Khatoon-i-Pakistan Education and Welfare Board spanning 1959 to 1963. It includes an architect’s fee request, a detailed school budget, demand notices for land development charges from KDA, a parent’s complaint about bus transport, a critical note on educational quality, and a government grant sanction for multiple girls’ schools.
