Abstract: This file contains a speech by Miss Fatima Jinnah on the occasion of accepting the completed building of the Khatoon‑e‑Pakistan Girls High School from the Haydari Construction Company. She recalls that the foundation stone was laid on 25 December 1955, but construction could not begin immediately due to shortage of funds (only Rs. 3 lakhs collected from donations, while estimated cost was Rs. 5–6 lakhs). Mr. Mohd Ali Habib of Haydari Construction Company offered to undertake the work and donate the labour charges as a contribution. Work started in December 1956. Costs rose to about Rs. 9 lakhs, but Mr. Habib continued and completed the building. Miss Jinnah expresses profound gratitude for his munificence.

Description: This file contains a speech by Miss Fatima Jinnah accepting the completed building of the Khatoon‑e‑Pakistan Girls High School, thanking Mohd Ali Habib and the Haydari Construction Company for their generous donation of labour charges, which enabled the construction despite cost overruns. The speech provides insight into the funding challenges and philanthropic support behind the school’s establishment. The file also includes multiple testimonials and certificates of Naima Akhtar Siddiqi, a high‑achieving student from D.S.B. Government College, Nainital, documenting her academic excellence, debate and elocution prizes, and extracurricular leadership. The combination of construction records and student testimonials is unusual; the documents may have been filed together incidentally. The speech and testimonials illustrate the educational and philanthropic activities associated with Miss Fatima Jinnah’s board in the 1950s. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
