Description: This file contains administrative and financial records of the Muslim Women’s Industrial Home and the Muslim Ladies Technical & Industrial Institute in Karachi from 1951 to 1958. The documents include a list of 42 inmates (widows, orphans, and their children), quarterly progress reports detailing vocational training (embroidery, cutting, sewing), educational facilities for children, building repairs, and financial statements. A 1951 letter explains procedural issues with issuing cheques for grants to Miss Fatima Jinnah and Begum Mohammad Ali. The records illustrate the post-Partition efforts to rehabilitate refugee women through vocational training and welfare services, and the financial management of these charitable institutions.
