Abstract: This file of administrative and financial records from 1957–1958 related to the Muslim Ladies Technical and Industrial Institute and the Muslim Women’s Industrial Home in Karachi. A meeting notice (28 January 1957) lists agenda items: review of the institution’s working, election of office‑bearers, and payment of pending bills. Letters from the National Bank of India Limited (22 October and 6 November 1957) address specimen signature cards, an indemnity form required for a signatory who signs in vernacular (to be certified by Mohtarma Miss Fatima Jinnah), and a request for records completion. A detailed letter from the Muslim Women’s Industrial Home (30 September 1957) to the Pakistan Education and Welfare Board reports on the Girls Primary School’s increasing income, requests increments for two teachers (Razia Khatoon and Shajar Jahan), compares their lack of allowances with government school teachers, and seeks an appointment for teachers to present their case.

Description: This file contains a meeting notice, bank correspondence, and administrative letters from 1957–1958 concerning two women’s vocational institutions in Karachi: the Muslim Ladies Technical and Industrial Institute and the Muslim Women’s Industrial Home. Key documents include a bank letter requiring an indemnity form for a vernacular signature to be certified by Miss Fatima Jinnah, and a detailed letter requesting salary increments for teachers of the attached primary school, highlighting the financial challenges faced by private charitable institutions. Fragmentary pages suggest ongoing administrative issues such as staff attendance, inspections, and draft agreements. The file illustrates the operational and financial management of post‑Partition women’s welfare organisations patronised by Miss Fatima Jinnah. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
