Abstract: This file contains an office file cover from Nomani Stationers (suppliers to the Central Bank of India) followed by extensive handwritten lists of scientific equipment for physics (reversing keys, Daniel cells, optical benches, potentiometers, ammeters, voltmeters, galvanometers, dip circles, bar magnets, etc.), chemistry (antimony trichloride, nickel nitrate, acids, alcohols, potassium compounds, glassware, etc.), and biology (dissecting trays, models of frog heart, prepared slides, specimens such as sponge, sea anemone, jellyfish, snake, etc.). A letter from the Vice‑Principal (Mrs. M. Iqbal) to Miss Fatima Jinnah (Ref. No. 1494/65) requests sanction for the purchase of equipment and reference books for Intermediate Science students, noting that the grant was budgeted and may be forfeited if not spent. Copies of circulars from the Directorate of Education, Karachi (11 March 1965) require audited accounts for building and equipment grants received.

Description: This file contains a mix of administrative and academic records from 1965 related to the Khatoon‑e‑Pakistan Girls Higher Secondary School in Karachi, patronised by Miss Fatima Jinnah. An office file cover from Nomani Stationers is followed by detailed handwritten lists of laboratory equipment and chemicals for physics, chemistry, and biology, indicating the school’s science curriculum needs. A letter from the Vice‑Principal urgently requests sanction to purchase equipment and reference books for Intermediate students, warning that budgeted grant money might be forfeited if not spent. Two official circulars are enclosed: one from the Directorate of Education requiring audited accounts for building and equipment grants, and another from the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education imposing a one‑time recognition fee. The documents illustrate the financial and administrative processes of maintaining a girls’ higher secondary school in mid‑1960s Pakistan under Miss Jinnah’s patronage.
