M.A. Jinnah -- M.A. Alan -- Sind Elections -- Muslim League -- Pakistan Constitution | Constituent Assembly -- Governor-General -- Muslim National Academy -- Coalition Government | Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto -- Abdullah Haroon. | This correspondence provides valuable insight into the political dynamics in Sind province during the crucial period leading up to Partition. The first document demonstrates the Muslim League's growing political strength in Sind, evidenced by their ability to defeat established leaders of the Sind United Party. The request for guidance on coalition formation shows Jinnah's central role in directing provincial political strategies. The second document is particularly significant as it reveals early constitutional thinking about Pakistan's future governance structure, coming from the Muslim National Academy of India.

Abstract: This file of speeches and messages delivered by Miss Fatima Jinnah on 13th August 1956, the ninth anniversary of Pakistan’s independence. She recalls the unique creation of Pakistan under Quaid‑i‑Azam’s leadership, achieved by democratic means. She identifies two unresolved challenges: the Kashmir issue, where she pledges Pakistan’s support to the Kashmiri freedom struggle, and the refugee problem, criticising the government’s failure to rehabilitate lakhs of refugees living in sub‑human conditions in Karachi. She condemns recent police misconduct in Karachi, calling for a public inquiry to restore citizens’ sense of security.
