Abstract: Correspondence and bills from the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) and Wadood Electric Works (1957‑1966) concerning Miss Fatima Jinnah’s electricity service at Flagstaff House (Bonus Road) and later Qasr‑e‑Fatima (Clifton, Karachi). Includes a complaint about high consumption resolved by meter check, overdue bills, a provisional bank receipt (Rs. 141.63), conversion of overhead to underground service, installation of meters, and detailed wiring quotations with requests for advance payment.

Description: A KESC letter (19 October 1957) confirms a meter inspector checked readings after a personal visit about high consumption. Several incomplete bill forms (undated, but c. 1957‑1965) show charges for units, government tax, and meter rental. A 1961 provisional receipt from National Bank of Pakistan shows payment of Rs. 141.63 to KESC. In May 1965, KESC informs Miss Jinnah that overhead service has been converted to underground, and requests her to arrange main switches through a licensed contractor. By 1966, correspondence shifts to Qasr‑e‑Fatima, Clifton, with KESC noting an existing underground service that can be connected after a test form. Wadood Electric Works (26 May 1966) itemizes wiring work costs (Rs. 1,331 balance, requesting Rs. 800 advance) and later (9 May 1966 letter) urges her to sign an agreement required by the Electrical Inspector to proceed with meter installation.
