Abstract: A 1954 circular from the Mohd. Ali Memorial Co‑operative Housing Society Ltd. requests members to pay Rs. 1/8 per square yard for drainage and sewerage projects, plus 2 annas per square yard for lease premium, totalling Rs. 1/10 per square yard by 31 January 1954. A separate letter dated 14 September 1955 from contractor Md. Zahoor (Karachi) expresses concern over the poor construction of Miss Fatima Jinnah’s bungalow in the society and offers to rebuild it properly.

Description: The first document, issued by the Office Secretary of the Mohd. Ali Memorial Co‑operative Housing Society Ltd. (1954), informs members that storm water drainage and sewerage schemes must be executed immediately due to increased rainfall. It demands remaining development costs (Rs. 1/8 per sq. yd.) and an initial lease premium instalment (2 annas per sq. yd.), with payment due by 31 January 1954. The second document (14 September 1955) is a handwritten letter from Md. Zahoor, a building contractor, to “Madar‑e‑Millat Fatima Jinnah”. He states that he saw the bungalow being built for her in the society, criticises the poor workmanship and loss of money/furniture, and requests to be awarded the contract to construct her bungalow properly, citing his experience building many bungalows in Karachi.
