Abstract: A collection of letters (1949‑1962) concerning Miss Fatima Jinnah’s management of properties inherited from her brother, Quaid‑i‑Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Documents include a sanitary contractor’s claim for repairs to Kothi No. 53 (Lahore Cantonment), correspondence about Ichhra land acquired by the Lahore Improvement Trust, compensation claims for land in Gulberg Scheme No. 2, rent demands for bungalow No. 53, and inquiries from estate agents about selling plots in Gulberg III.
Description: The earliest document involves a forwarding from the Governor‑General’s secretary and a complaint from Pakistan Sanitary Emporium about unpaid repairs at Kothi No. 53, Lahore Cantt., belonging to the late Quaid‑i‑Azam. Miss Jinnah later writes to the Lahore Improvement Trust (1954) about Ichhra land acquired for a colony and to the Land Acquisition Collector (1955‑1956) seeking balance compensation for 324 kanals acquired in Gulberg Scheme No. 2 (Rs. 3,13,154 paid for part). Rent claims for bungalow No. 53 (Rs. 500 per month) and tax settlement arrangements appear in 1957‑1959. In 1962, her secretary responds to an estate agent (“Moavin”) and to Mr. Maratib Ali Shah about plots for sale in Gulberg III, indicating that Miss Jinnah continued to manage the Quaid‑i‑Azam’s estate properties into the 1960s.
