Abstract: A set of fourteen miscellaneous documents from Miss Fatima Jinnah’s personal files spanning 1955 to 1967. Includes a telegram form (1958), a telegraph deposit account statement (1955), invoices for silver coffee set and finger nail set, a receipt for Rs. 4,520 from Karachi Electric Stores, a cement purchase memo, a saree bill, a request for payment of two baby mugs (Rs. 74), and other retail receipts. Several documents are directly addressed to Miss Jinnah, reflecting routine household and personal purchases.

Description: The oldest document (1955) is an account of telegrams accepted on a deposit account, likely for Miss Jinnah’s use. A 1958 telegram form (Pakistan Post & Telegraph) is addressed to “MUQIT” in Chittagong. Kashmir Silver Works produced two documents: a 1966 bill for a coffee set (Rs. 350) and finger nail set (Rs. 650), and a 1961 receipt for Rs. 1,000. A substantial payment of Rs. 4,520 to the Karachi Electric Stores (1961) indicates electrical purchases. Other retail notes include Dalmia cement (Rs. 12/13, 1961), two sarees (Rs. 158, 1961), and a reminder from Novelty Emporium (March 1962) for two baby mugs (Rs. 74). A Quetta Cut Piece House memo (undated) and an Urdu document (1967) complete the collection. These items illustrate Miss Jinnah’s daily expenditures and vendor relationships in Karachi.
