Abstract: Miss Fatima Jinnah’s involvement with two women’s industrial institutions in Karachi. The Government of Pakistan sanctions Rs. 6,900 in grants‑in‑aid (Rs. 5,500 to Muslim Women’s Industrial Home, Rs. 1,400 to Muslim Ladies Technical and Industrial Institute). A clerical error misdirects Rs. 10,000, and three cheques totalling Rs. 1,621/14 are sent for order work. Habib Bank balance confirmations show her current account balances (Rs. 3,978/9, Rs. 98,224, Rs. 20,229.76). An Imperial Bank of India certificate records income tax deducted on Karachi Port Trust debentures, with payee Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

Description: The collection begins with a March 1949 Ministry of Finance sanction letter granting Rs. 6,900 to two women’s institutions; a September 1949 apology from Karachi Administration explains a clerk’s mistake that deposited Rs. 10,000 into the Girls Guide Association account instead of splitting it. Cheques totalling Rs. 1,621/14 are forwarded for order work. Habib Bank balance confirmations from around 1950‑1952 show credit balances in accounts linked to Miss Jinnah and the Muslim Women’s Industrial Home. An Imperial Bank of India certificate (1952) certifies income tax deducted on Karachi Port Trust debentures, with Zulfikar Ali Bhutto appearing as payee, indicating early connections with future political figures.
