Abstract: Medical documents from 1948‑1962 concerning Miss Fatima Jinnah. Includes a laboratory report from Sandeman Hospital, Quetta, showing T.L.C., D.L.C., and urine tests; an X‑ray report from the same hospital indicating bronchitis; and two X‑ray reports from Karachi (22 November 1952 and 22 November 1962) showing no pathological changes in hand and knee joints, with only soft tissue swelling of the right thumb noted.
Description: The first document is a laboratory result sheet from Sandeman Hospital, Quetta, listing tests including throat swab, T.L.C. (9110), D.L.C. (62/29/1.6), R.B.C. (4.0 million), stool (no T.B.), and multiple urine entries showing “acid albuminuria”. The second document (17 August 1948) is an X‑ray report from the same hospital diagnosing bronchitis. Two later reports (dated 22 November 1952 and 22 November 1962) from radiologists in Karachi (Dr. M. Nasiruddin and another) examine Miss Fatima Jinnah’s hand and knee joints, finding no pathological bone or joint changes, but noting swelling of the soft tissues in the right thumb. These records provide insight into her health conditions during the late 1940s and early 1960s. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
