Abstract: All Pakistan Muhajir Convention held in Lahore (12‑13 January 1957) include presidential addresses, a list of 22 resolutions, and a detailed Re‑settlement Scheme for refugees. The Scheme addresses urban evacuee property (no auction, adjustment of verified claims, prior purchase rights), rural agricultural land (proprietary rights, consolidation, compensation), refugee government servants (security of service, confirmation, pension benefits), and other demands such as creation of a Refugee Cess Trust under Miss Fatima Jinnah’s trusteeship. Also includes a letter from a displaced person seeking recovery of a house, an open letter to the editor on refugee service security, and a cover letter forwarding resolutions to Miss Jinnah.

Description: The first document lists demands concerning Improvement Trusts, evacuee laws, widows, surety, permanent allotments, and refugee representation. The proceedings of the 2nd All Pakistan Muhajir Convention (pages 1‑3) describe a two‑day session with messages from Prime Minister Suhrawardy, Sardar Abdul Rab Nishtar, and others; 141 refugee organisations participated. A Re‑settlement Scheme (pages 5‑7) outlines detailed policies: no auction of evacuee property, adjustment of claims, prior purchase rights for refugee occupants, proprietary rights for agricultural land, consolidation of holdings, and security of service for refugee government servants. Additional items include a letter from Syed Mohammed Abdul Jai (Murree) about a house allotment, a 29 January 1957 letter to the editor demanding confirmation of refugee government employees, and a 4 October 1957 cover letter from the All Pakistan Mohajir Board forwarding resolutions to Miss Fatima Jinnah’s secretary.
