Description: The Adamji Memorial Free Reading Room & Library (Karachi) requests an inspiring message for a souvenir to be published on 27 January 1961 (page 1). On 24 February 1961, Mrs. Shahzad Begum requests an interview; her secretary replies granting an appointment for 3 March 1961 at 5 p.m. (page 2). J.D. van Oenen, Manager‑designate of Bank of America, Karachi, writes (26 June 1961) seeking to pay respects before Miss Jinnah’s departure to Europe; her secretary regrets she cannot find time due to a heavy programme (pages 7‑8). Mst. Jannat Khatoon, a widow from Nazimabad, requests advice on “reverification of claims” and agricultural lands in possession of widows, infirm, and orphans (page 9). Finally, Mr. M. A. Ahsan is granted an interview on 3 October 1961 at 11:30 a.m. (pages 13‑14, duplicate). These documents illustrate the range of personal and official requests handled by Miss Jinnah’s office in 1961.
