Abstract: A refugee businessman seeks her help to obtain a Rs. 2 lakh loan from the Finance Minister for his general merchandise shop (1951). Headmen of Buleji village request her intervention to grant 20 acres of waste land free for their village, citing Quaid‑i‑Azam’s earlier protection (undated). A man offers a stone bearing the name of the Holy Prophet, proposes placing it at Quaid‑i‑Azam’s resting place, and asks for a Rs. 4,000 loan (23 January 1953).
Description: Miss Jinnah previously and now requests her to write to Finance Minister Ghulam Mohammed for a loan of Rs. 2 lakhs through the Pakistan Refugees Rehabilitation Finance Corporation. A second letter from Ali Mohammed and Haji Ismail, headmen of Buleji village, recalls that Quaid‑i‑Azam had excluded about 20 acres of waste land for their village use, but outsiders are now encroaching; they ask Miss Jinnah to recommend to the Collector that the land be granted free and registered. On 23 January 1953, M. Hamid Asghar (Oakmore, probably Lahore) describes a white stone with the black name of the Holy Prophet, considers it miraculous, wants it placed at Quaid‑i‑Azam’s mausoleum, and requests a loan of Rs. 4,000, promising repayment after two years.
