Abstract: A detailed appeal from Soofi Mohd Afzal, who claims he was victimised by the ruling party for supporting Miss Jinnah’s presidential election campaign, and requests Rs. 300‑500 along with money order forms. Also includes a widow’s plea for financial help (Hajani Daur Emon, Ranipur), an 80‑year‑old mother’s request to transfer her daughter (a teacher) from Lahore to Sargodha so she can be cared for, and a letter from Ismet Jehan Begum of Mangrol State seeking a migration certificate for her daughter Miss Khalidah from Fatima Jinnah Medical College to King Edward Medical College, Lahore.
Description: The longest document appeal from Soofi Mohd Afzal, a jobless man living with his sick 60‑year‑old mother on a pension of Rs. 16 per month. He states that he supported Miss Jinnah in the 1965 presidential election, exposed underage voters through a newspaper, and was subsequently harassed by the ruling party, forced out of his house, and left destitute. He requests Rs. 500 (later Rs. 300) and encloses money order forms. A witness named “Sher Jang” confirms his story. The second letter (pages 90‑91) from Hajani Daur Emon, a widow of 15 years with no son or relative, asks for financial help, explaining she cannot afford a telegram and uses a 15‑paisa envelope.
