Abstract: A set of documents from the Quaid‑i‑Azam Relief Fund’s Central Committee files (1948‑1950), with copies routinely sent to Miss Fatima Jinnah. Includes a request to her to open an Islamic film show for the fund, a pay order that could not be encashed, committee minutes on winter clothing for Kashmir refugees and rehabilitation of refugee students, a circular on purchasing cloth, a notice of a Central Committee meeting, and a receipt for 3,919 blankets supplied. Also includes a resignation letter from an unnamed member of the relief committee.

Description: The All Pakistan Arabic Society invites Miss Fatima Jinnah to open an Arabic film show at Nishat Talkies, Karachi, with proceeds to the Quaid‑i‑Azam Relief Fund (undated, likely 1948). A 1948 letter explains that a pay order for Rs. 1,908/14/3 from a donor cannot be encashed because it is a receipt; the fund’s treasurer advises Miss Jinnah to deposit it in her account and issue a cheque. Minutes of the Central Committee (December 1948) discuss winter clothing for Kashmir refugees (Rs. 10 lacs expenditure) and rehabilitation of refugee students, with copies to Miss Jinnah. A resignation letter (undated) regrets inability to serve on the relief committee. A June 1949 circular from the Honorary Secretary offers 18 bales of chintz cloth to members, including Miss Jinnah. Telegrams and letters from N.W.F.P. (September‑October 1949) detail the use of Rs. 1 lakh for razai manufacture for refugees, with balances unspent. A notice of the 32nd meeting (31 October 1949) lists Miss Jinnah among invitees. Finally, a receipt dated 4 May 1950 acknowledges payment of Rs. 48,987/8 for 3,919 blankets supplied to the fund. These documents illustrate Miss Jinnah’s nominal role in the relief fund and the committee’s operations for refugees. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
