Abstract: A collection of documents from Miss Fatima Jinnah’s files relating to women’s organisations in Pakistan. Includes the minutes of the inaugural All‑Pakistan Women’s Conference (22‑24 February 1949), which elected Begum Liaquat Ali Khan as President and appointed Miss Fatima Jinnah and Begum Nazimuddin as Patrons. Also includes extracts of the APWA constitution, a complaint from the Women’s Association, Lahore about delays in court cases, invitations from the Karachi Ladies’ Association (1959, 1965), and the aims and objects of the Pakistan Women’s Voluntary Service.

Description: All‑Pakistan Women’s Conference (February 1949) list delegates from all provinces, agenda items including cultural development, educational progress, social reconstruction, and the passing of a provisional constitution. Resolutions called for universal literacy, free primary education, maternity centres, prohibition of child begging, and hygiene teaching. Miss Fatima Jinnah was unanimously elected a Patron. Later documents include a letter from the Women’s Association, Lahore (undated) complaining about adjournments and judicial delays, an invitation to a sewing party and talk on child welfare (17 March 1959), the aims of the Pakistan Women’s Voluntary Service (undated), and an invitation to a pulao party (29 April 1965).
