Abstract: The “All Parties Anti‑Joint Electorate Council of Action” (Convenor K. K. Sherwani and President Sujit Tanwar Ahmed Dewan) requesting the recipient to send an article for publication and to help organise a movement against joint electorate, advocating separate electorate for Muslims to protect Pakistan’s Islamic ideology against Hindu domination.

Description: K. K. Sherwani (Convenor) explains that a strong committee of pro‑Islamic parties has been formed to oppose joint electorate and requests an article for publication. The second letter (page 2) from Sujit Tanwar Ahmed Dewan (President) urges the recipient to help organise the movement on an all‑Pakistan basis. The third page (page 3) is a duplicate of the first letter. These letters reflect the political debate over electoral systems in Pakistan’s early years and were likely addressed to or received by Miss Fatima Jinnah. SCANNED BY: NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF PAKISTAN.
