According to him the talk of unified opposition command and some sort of merger of democratic parties he submitted that such a unified command or merger may be effected without affording the Field Marshal an opportunity to claim to be the only and genuine successor of Quaid-iAzam's Muslim League. He added that NIP and NDF should be persuaded to rejoin Muslim League with necessary adjustment in the composition of various ties of the party.
