East Pakistan was in a terrible famine and the money realised She is Maryam Abdin of Pir Bhai, second daughter of Mr. Jinnah Poonja (officially) was not sufficient. He took recourse to Raffle and the money raised by that means was near to end, thus he requested her to help him with a donation form the funds at her disposal to realise his difficulties.
