Description: Letter of Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan to Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah in reply to her of 30th January [1948] stated that as he had explained to her last evening the inclusion of her name as signatories of the joint appeal was very much regretted. After obtaining her view he contacted Lahore immediately and directed them to omit her name from the programme which was approved by him as Chairman of the Committee with the only reservation that her name was not to appear without her consent. He had been making telephonic enquiries yesterday and from the incomplete reports he received on the telephone it appears that a copy of the joint appeal had gone to Delhi already and was broadcasted by All India Radio a day earlier.
