Description: Letter of Sardar Bahadur Khan to Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah informing her about the Earthquake of February 1955 in Querta which has rendered homeless over forty four thousands persons who are now without shelter. All these people are poor who lived in non earthquake proof mud houses. If these people are allowed to build houses again with mud their houses would falling down again in future earthquake shocks. The cast of construction earthquake-proof rooms is very heavy and is beyond the resources of the people themselves and even government. They estimate that they required thirty six lacks.
