Description: Press statement issued by Ahmad E.H. Jaffer Ahmad on 17 January 1956 regarding Quaid-i- Azam Mausoleum. According to him seven years have passed over the hillock, where Quaid-i-Azam last remains have been laid to reset under the heap of earth in the capital of the state of Pakistan, which he lonely established. A so-called top ranking committee supposed to be charged with the duty of setting up a memorial for the beloved Quaid-i-Azam, of the orphaned Pakistanis has undoubtedly and utterly failed. He suggested, the Committee should now hand over the charge to Mader-e-Mellat with power to set up a Memorial Committee of her own choice. The Secretary of the Committee should announce the collection ·s made and the amount already collected, should be handed over to Mader-e-Mellat and she could make an appeal to the people to make their contributions.
