Abstract: This file contains a detailed constitutional manuscript titled "Introduction" sent by Professor Abdul Hamied of Islamia College, Calcutta, to M.A. Jinnah in his capacity as President of the All India Muslim League. The covering letter, dated June 1940, states that the manuscript outlines "a concrete scheme to give effect to the partition proposal of the Muslim League at its last annual session at Lahore." It was submitted just before a meeting of the League's Working Committee for Jinnah's consideration.

Description: A historically significant manuscript representing one of the early concrete constitutional plans drafted to implement the Pakistan demand immediately after its formal adoption in the Lahore Resolution of March 1940. Sent directly to Quaid-i-Azam M.A. Jinnah, this document reflects the immediate intellectual and political efforts within Muslim circles to give practical shape to the new national objective.
