Abstract: This file contains a brief exchange of telegrams and a letter between M.A. Jinnah, his sister Fatima Jinnah, and Sir Akbar Hyderi of Hyderabad (Deccan) in 1941. It includes a telegram from M.A. Jinnah informing Hyderi of his arrival in Bombay on the 1st of April. This is followed by a letter from Jinnah dated 6th April, thanking Hyderi for his previous letter and stating his imminent departure for Madras to attend the sessions of the All-India Muslim League. The final document is a telegram from Fatima Jinnah, sent from Nandi Hill, conveying thanks for kind enquiries and reassuring the recipient that her brother is alright, while also informing them of her travel plans to reach Bombay in the first week of June.

Description: This small collection offers a glimpse into the personal and logistical aspects of M.A. Jinnah's life amidst his political engagements. The documents showcase the routine communication regarding travel itineraries for political work, such as attending the Muslim League session in Madras. Fatima Jinnah's telegram provides a personal touch, indicating a network of concern for Jinnah's well-being and sharing her own whereabouts. The use of both formal letters and concise telegrams illustrates the communication methods of the era for coordinating plans and exchanging courteous updates among political associates and family.
