Chughtai Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipal Administration Ali Pur and Mr. Khalid Nawaz (Deputy Director, NAP), successfully completed the restoration and renovation of the long-closed public library in Ali Pur. To mark this milestone, an inauguration ceremony was held.
The library was jointly inaugurated by Mr. Farhan Aziz Khawaja (Director General, Civil Services Academy), Mr. Fawad Hashim Rabbani (Additional Chief Secretary, South Punjab), Ms. Quratulain Memon (Deputy Commissioner, Muzaffargarh), Mr. Khalid Nawaz (Deputy Director, NAP), and Ms. Rehana Kousar (Consultant, Chughtai Public Library).
During the event, Ms. Rehana Kousar highlighted the facilities provided in the library and briefed the audience about its administrative structure.
Distinguished guests, including Mr. Rana Rizwan Qadeer (Special Secretary, Forest Department), Mr. Faiz Fareed Bhutta (Assistant Commissioner, Ali Pur), and Mr. Rana Umair (Chief Officer, Town Municipal Administration), along with a large number of scholars and community members, also attended the ceremony.
The library has now been fully reopened for readers, equipped with modern facilities. A notable aspect is that membership and all services are completely free of charge. Chughtai Foundation will not only provide trained library staff but will also cover other administrative expenses.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Municipal Administration Ali Pur, represented by Mr. Faiz Fareed Bhutta (Assistant Commissioner, Ali Pur), and the Chughtai Foundation, represented by Ms. Rehana Kousar (Consultant, Chughtai Public Library).
